Family Time 4 - Anglesea

I went for a wander just outside the holiday park grounds and saw this kangaroo relaxing under the trees.

The next few photos were all taken within the grounds.

Australian Wood Duck

Corymbia ficifolia

Grevillea sp.

I'm struggling to work out how you can play bowls online, barefoot or otherwise!

The Sulphur Cockatoos are very brave and daring birds; this one was trying to break into one of the nearby chalets.

Whilst its mate made a meal of the "bird proof" netting.

We then had a drive out to Point Roadknight at Anglesea for a wander around.

Fortunately this is the nearest we've come to a shark so far.

These are Moonah trees (Eucalyptus ovata) which are on the threatened species list and are recognised for their importance in coastal erosion control as well as their unique appearance.

Mirror, Mirror ..................... a very handsome White-faced Heron.

Little Pied Cormorant

Later in the day Ian and I drove to the nearby Coogoorah nature reserve which was very picturesque but very quiet in terms of wildlife.

Two species of cormorant here - Little Pied and Little Black - clearly not talking to each other.

Australian Magpie

Galah

I think the next two are both wrens, definitely female and possible fairy.

This made us chuckle, someone had thrown their KFC away and this Sulphur Cockatoo was happily tucking into a piece of his distant relative.
